About the Faculty
The Faculty of Tourism and Business Logistics was founded on 15th of July 2008 as part of Goce Delcev University in Shtip. The first generation of students was enrolled in the academic year 2008/2009 at the course of Tourism. The seat of the Faculty is in Gevgelija, but there are dispersed studies in Shtip and Skopje.
Science, Research and Projects
The science and the research are one of the leading and the most important aspects of the Faculty of natural and technical sciences. The researches made in the field of science represent a firm basis for accomplishing educative, scientific-research and applied activity on this faculty.
The Faculty of natural and technical sciences cooperates with numerous economic organizations and institutions in the Republic of Macedonia; the cooperation is based on professional consulting, mutual projects, drafting of projects, mines’ designing, preparing of qualified staff etc. Since the beginnings of the Faculty of natural and technical sciences, the cooperation in the economy was always bidirectional, as well as the effects of that cooperation. For this statement contributes the fact that a number of eminent professional workers in the economy were included in the educational as well as the scientific-research process.
The Faculty cooperates with related international institutions as well. The international cooperation of the Faculty of natural and technical sciences is realized in many ways: participation in congresses, seminars, symposia etc.; exchanging of scientists and professors as well as visiting-professors from related faculties of several European countries, academic advising on master thesis and doctorate thesis; participation in mutual scientific-research projects; use of scholarships for specialization or postgraduate studies etc.
The Faculty of Tourism and Business Logistics is conceptualized upon curricula of the leading European universities for tourism, but also upon domestic, vocational experience. The future students will have an opportunity to study tourism, business logistics, gastronomy, nutrition and dietetics. The study programmes are in accordance with the Bologna declaration, due to the introduction of the European credit-transfer system, and up-to-date organization of education.
Almost all the students during their education at the Faculty of Tourism and Business Logistics will have an opportunity in practical manner to learn about their future profession by visiting most elite destinations in the country and abroad.
